New Commisioner elected to MDCHA
New commissioner named to the MDCHA.
On Saturday February 21, 2009, the MDCHA membership elected a new commissioner, Michael Hinkle. The new commissioner is not a new face to the MDCHA. For the past two seasons Mr. Hinkle has been the assistant coach for the Gettysburg College Bullets. He has attended regular meetings and has kept with most league members as trying to keep the MDCHA current with ideas from the ACHA.
Mr. Hinkle attended Keystone college for two years before transferring and graduating from Alvenia College, now Alvernia University. He earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice in the spring of 2004. While there he helped organize and also coached for two seasons. Upon graduating he worked as a Probation/Parole officer in the Counties of Adams and York for almost 5 years. Currently Mr. Hinkle works for the Department of Defense as a Civilian Police Officer and is completing training for his position. Additionally He coached Gettysburg College for two seasons. During his first season there he was part of the 2007-2008 MDCHA champion team.
Mr. Hinkle is looking forward to working with all the teams that make up the MDCHA.
